Hand-painted Silk Wearables

I've been painting on fabric for over 30 years in the Green Mountains of Vermont. My inspiration comes from the beauty I find around me.

I have been in love with silk painting since the first time I touched a brush dripping with color to a field of white silk. Each day I am re-inspired by the way the fabric drapes and shimmers, by the depth of color that is possible and by the world at my doorstep.

My hand painted silk wearables are created using a variety of techniques including resist dyeing, block printing, and several immersion dyeing techniques including itajimi shibori. Often I use a combination of these processes and many others.

Each of my pieces is unique and signed. They are hand washable or dry cleanable.
