Beaded Leather Accessories

Fascinated by American Indian beadwork, Faith studied the earliest forms of bead and quill work and the various tribal influences at the American Indian Museum in New York. She also apprenticed in the fine art of creating Nantucket Lightship baskets. Faith makes all the traditional baskets popular in the 1800’s and adds her distinctive touch with an inset of Native American beadwork on the lid. Each motif is meticulously embroidered on a field of richly colored velvet, silk tussah, taffeta or leather, creating one-of-a-kind American treasures.
