Metal and Fiber Wearable Art

For more than 30 years I designed and created wearable fiber art from the fiber of my merino sheep. About 5 years ago I wanted to explore other ways of creating wearable art so I began designing jewelry, first using colorful fiber and eventually metal. Today I usually work in brass and fine silver using printmaking and photgraphic techniques to make small etchings that become the "fabric" of my metal work. Enameling and other methods of coloration replace the dyes I use in my fiber creations and semi-precious stones finish the designs.

I see the pieces I produce as small works of wearable art that allow individuals to become curators of their own visions.
