Matt Seasholtz
Glass Sculpture
Matt became a glassblower through a random series of events. During this time he was able to define and refine his unique glass blowing skills. Each piece of glass blown begins with multiple layers of jewel tone transparent glass. The piece is then covered with a clear piece of glass and blown into its final form. Matt uses an optic mold to create surface texture. This texture, when combined with the mixture of transparent colors, creates a constantly shifting palette as the piece interacts with the light.
